Welcome to Music In Mind, a provider of quality, evidence-based music therapy services in Australia. Our team of registered music therapists (RMTs) are experienced musicians with specialist training in understanding the effects of music on the brain, mind, and body. We are committed to delivering personalised therapy that takes into account each individual's unique strengths, needs, and personality.
At Music In Mind, we believe in the power of music as a tool for change and strive to support clients in achieving their personalised health, wellbeing, or functioning goals through the development of tailored musical experiences and empathetic human relationships. Our therapists work with people of all ages, circumstances, and abilities, and you don't need any prior musical training to access our services. We are a non-registered NDIS provider and self-managed or plan-managed NDIS participants can use their funding to access our music therapy services.
What is Music Therapy?
Music therapy is an evidence-based allied health profession that can support people across the lifespan, from newborns to the elderly. It is a unique form of therapy that engages, motivates, and brings fun to all different types of therapy, making it a powerful tool for effecting change. At Music In Mind, our trained therapists support clients to achieve their own personalised health, wellness, or functioning goals through the development of tailored musical experiences and an empathetic and authentic human relationship.

We offer a range of services to suit your needs, including:
*Individual Music Therapy: Our one-on-one sessions are tailored to suit your individual needs, goals, and personality. Our therapists work with you to create a personalised music therapy plan that supports your health, wellbeing, or functioning.
*Adapted Music Lessons: Our adapted music lessons are designed for individuals with disabilities or additional needs. Our therapists use music and musical instruments to support learning, development, and overall wellbeing.
*Group Music Therapy: Our group sessions provide a supportive and inclusive environment for individuals to participate in music therapy together. Our therapists facilitate group musical experiences that support social, emotional, and cognitive development.
*Telehealth Music Therapy (Online): Our online music therapy sessions are available for individuals who are unable to attend face-to-face sessions. Our therapists use videoconferencing technology to deliver music therapy services from the comfort of your own home.
*Community Music: Our community music programs provide opportunities for individuals to participate in music making and musical experiences within their local community. Our programs support social connection, wellbeing, and overall health.
