Handcrafted Furniture
Black Orpheus creates bespoke furniture using plantation mahogany and sustainable materials. Each piece is handcrafted by experienced artisans with attention to grain patterns and durable joinery. Products include dining tables, beds, and storage units designed for longevity. The use of kiln-dried timber ensures stability in Australian climates. Customers can choose from multiple finishes and sizes to match their interior decor.
Sustainable Timber Certification
All timber products carry SVLK certification verifying legal and sustainable sourcing. This includes plantation-grown mahogany with traceable supply chains. The certification ensures compliance with environmental regulations and responsible forestry practices. Customers receive documentation confirming their purchase supports renewable resource management and ethical production standards.
Home Decor & Lighting
The store offers Art Deco lamps, Venetian mirrors, and decorative art pieces. Lighting options include tripod floor lamps and stained glass table lamps meeting Australian safety standards. Decor items feature bronze-plated figurines and canvas paintings. These products are designed to complement both modern and traditional interiors while maintaining functional utility in residential spaces.
Customizable Finishes
Customers can select from multiple wood stains and paint finishes for most furniture pieces. Available options include pecan, mahogany, walnut, and two-tone combinations. Special finishes like caramel or black paint attract a 15-25% surcharge. This service allows personalization of entertainment units, dining sets, and bedroom furniture to match specific decor schemes while maintaining structural integrity.
