Our Story
Encore Dance has been operating in Hobart for over 40 years under the guidance of Studio Director Sharon Shirley. Our studio is built on a foundation of community spirit, and we celebrate the diversity of talents, backgrounds, and personalities that each dancer brings. We recognize that every dancer, whether in the past or present, holds a special place in our community.
Tassie Dancers Against Cancer
Tassie Dancers Against Cancer is an initiative that defines the heart and soul of Encore's community spirit. TDAC brings together Tasmanian dancers to help raise much-needed funds for cancer research and services. Our annual TDAC Dancefest is a highlight of the year, where we turn our passion into purpose and make a difference in the lives of those touched by cancer.
Our Services

READY SET DANCE is a combo class of jazz, tap, hip hop, music, and singing, designed for preschoolers from 2 years old. This program helps develop strength, control, and balance while introducing fundamental dance techniques in a fun and creative way.
