Our Driving School was first established in 1948 in Avoca Street, Randwick, and Maroubra Driving School was established in 1965. Both schools joined to become Avoca and Maroubra Driving Schools in 1988. Our driving instructors are the longest licensed driving instructors in the Eastern Suburbs, with over 110 years of combined experience. We have witnessed every change that has come through the RMS in the past 30 years and have been instrumental in working with the Roads Minister to improve the system for learner drivers.

• Car Lessons: We offer dual-controlled automatic cars, patient instructors, and tuition seven days a week. Our instructors provide discount packages, gift vouchers, and overseas license conversions and are available for early starts and late finishes. We offer pickup and drop-off services from home, office, school, or any location organised with the instructor. Our areas covered include Sydney, Alexandria, Bondi, Bondi Junction, Botany, Bronte, Centennial Park, Chifley, Clovelly, Coogee, Daceyville, Eastlakes, Hillsdale, Kensington, Kingsford, La Perouse, Little Bay, Malabar, Maroubra, Mascot, Matraville, Pagewood, Phillip Bay, Randwick, Rosebery, South Coogee, Tamarama, Waterloo, Waverley, and Zetland.
• RTA Test Requirements: We deliver all RTA test requirements, including night and wet weather training, as well as country and highway training. Our experienced instructors are here to support you and ensure that you are well-prepared for your test.

Requirements for Obtaining Your Learner's Licence

To obtain your learner's licence, you must meet the following requirements:

• The learner must be at least 16 years of age.
• Study the Road Users' Handbook issued by Service NSW.
• Pass a knowledge test.
• Practice Driver Knowledge Test Questions.
• Proof of Identity is needed (eg. Full birth certificate).
• Pass an eyesight test.
• Obtain a Learner's Licence.
• Obtain a Learner Driver Log book.
• The minimum age for a Provisional Licence is 17 years.
