Our Story

Meating Room was born out of a desire to shake up the dining scene in Canberra. We wanted to create a space that's not only visually stunning but also serves up culinary delights that will leave you wanting more. Our team has worked tirelessly to transform the space previously occupied by Western Basement into a contemporary haven with an earthy, bold aesthetic. From the graffiti and stencil art to the bold primary colours, every detail has been carefully considered to create an atmosphere that's both relaxed and lively.

Our Team

Robii Khalil, our owner and head chef, brings years of experience as a cafe owner and qualified chef. Hamish Walker, our coffee and meat captain, is a magician with smoked meats and coffee. Phillip Sacksady, our floor captain, has a wealth of experience in customer service and is dedicated to ensuring every guest has an exceptional experience.
