Toyota Recall Information
At Jacob Toyota, we take the safety of our customers seriously. That's why we want to provide you with information about the Takata airbag recalls that have affected a number of Toyota models.
The defect with the airbags is that the propellant in the inflators may degrade over time, which can cause the inflator to rupture during airbag deployment. In the event of an inflator rupture, metal fragments could pass through the airbag cushion material and result in serious injury or death.
Toyota Australia has been notifying registered owners of affected vehicles by mail. If you're unsure whether your Toyota vehicle is affected, we urge you to contact the Toyota recall campaign helpline at 1800 987 366 from 8:00am to 6:00pm AEST Monday to Friday. Translation services are available at this number or via the Translating and Interpreting Service (TIS National). The National Relay Service is also available to assist guests who are deaf or have a hearing or speech impairment.

Disappointing Experience
However, one reviewer, Aidan Schumann, had a highly negative experience with the dealership. He felt that the sales team, particularly Chance, were dishonest and tried to increase the advertised price of the vehicle over the phone. When Aidan drove five hours to inspect the vehicle, he was disappointed to find that it was not as clean and tidy as claimed, and that there were more stone chips than initially reported. The reviewer was also unhappy with the way Chance handled the agreed price, claiming that he was not including the holding deposit in the final price.
