The Edge Catering was established in 2010 and has been located at its current site in Braddon since 2012. Edge has gained an outstanding reputation in the Canberra Region, as the caterer of choice for many Private and Public Organisations. Edge prides itself on excellent customer service that always meets and exceeds client expectations. We strive to provide food of the highest quality and aim to source as much local produce as possible. As the ACT Government's preferred caterer at Exhibition Park in Canberra (EPIC), the team at Edge has provided exceptional service covering large functions, corporate conferences, speciality events and public catering. The team at Edge Catering understands the importance of punctuality, hence this is one of the key criteria of why our current clientele continue to use us.
Our Services
At The Edge Catering, we offer a diverse range of corporate and special occasion menus that can be adapted to meet COVID-19 safety requirements. Our menus are designed to cater to various events and functions, including morning and afternoon tea, lunch packages, lunch boxes, traffic light menus, indigenous inspired menu options, buffet menus, conference packages, cocktail party menus, and drinks packages. We can also provide staff and equipment hire to make your event flow easier or even add that special touch. Our staff hire services include beverage staff, food staff, and function chefs, while our equipment hire services include a wide range of catering equipment, such as glassware, crockery, cutlery, trestle tables, table clothes, champagne buckets, ice tubs, serving platters, electric urns, cake stands, and disposable packaging.
Our Team
The Edge Catering is owned by Craig Forbutt, who has over 20 years' experience in the hospitality industry, covering cafes, function centers, major event catering, and corporate catering. Logistics is his specialty. Our Head Chef/General Manager, Renee Higgs, has been with The Edge Catering since 2014 and has worked for Craig Forbutt for over 10 years. With over 18 years of experience in the industry, Renee is able to create menus for any occasion.
