He accepted a quote for a handrail and was initially told that it would be installed on a specific date due to its simplicity. However, the company failed to deliver on that promise, and over several weeks, Nigel from the company changed the installation date multiple times, even going so far as to lie about the status of the job. Eventually, the company failed to deliver the product and install it, leaving Slattery feeling frustrated and disheartened.
