Where every guest feels at home

A few years ago, I found myself pondering the grand purpose of life. A vivid image emerged: a forest where giant leaves offered shelter and fostered growth. This image resonated with the core values I wanted to embody: providing support and nurturing potential. These values underpin my work as a psychologist.

I find immense joy in collaborating with people from diverse backgrounds and walks of life. My passion extends to supporting individuals in understanding and managing their emotions, especially those struggling with:

  • Emotional regulation: mastering the ability to control and express one's feelings effectively.
  • Identity exploration: navigating the complexities of cultural heritage, gender, sexual orientation, and neurodiversity.

Having worked at Headspace Midland and various not-for-profit organisations, I have extensive experience supporting people with diverse challenges, including:

  • People of Colour (POC)/nonwhite people: Promoting cultural competency and understanding.
  • Aboriginal people and Torres Strait Islanders: Addressing unique cultural considerations and sensitivities.
  • Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) individuals: Respectful and inclusive approaches to cross-cultural communication.
  • LGBTQI+ community: Providing safe and affirming spaces for sexual and gender diversity.
  • Neurodivergent people: Implementing evidence-based interventions and collaboration with allied professionals.

My approach to therapy is collaborative, practical, and down-to-earth. I utilise evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness techniques to empower clients.

I believe in the power of accessible and understandable mental health information, and regularly share my insights on my blog.

I am a Registered Psychologist and a member of the Australian Psychological Society. I hold a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Psychology and a Doctor of Psychology (Clinical) degree.

I am proud to be working and living on the land of the Whadjuk people of the Nyoongar nation, and acknowledge the rich knowledge and resilience of its people.
