The Riverfront Motel & Villas has been owned and operated by the Beck Family since 2003, and in that time, we have continuously worked towards improving the property and the service we provide. Situated on the picturesque Derwent River, our resort-like property spans over seven waterfront acres, providing a tranquil escape from the bustle of the CBD.

Our motel complex dates back to the late 1950s, and it has since undergone significant improvements, with a particular focus on our Restaurant & Bar in recent years. Our family's background in commercial fishing and farming has enabled us to serve high-quality, locally-sourced produce, attracting locals and tourists alike.

Originally operating as two separate businesses, Highway Village Motor Inn and Tudor Holiday Village, we have integrated the property into a complete resort-like accommodation, offering a wide range of budget-friendly and comfortable options suitable for solo travellers, couples, families, and groups.

Furthermore, the Museum of Old and New Art (MONA) is just 900 metres up the road, and the My State Bank Arena (formerly Derwent Entertainment Centre) is just a 3-minute drive (2.7 km) away.

Our Restaurant & Bar is a local favourite, offering quality bistro meals that are made from locally-sourced and fresh produce. We serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily (except for lunch on Mondays and Tuesdays), and our menu is updated regularly to reflect the best seasonal ingredients available.

We offer a variety of weekly specials that showcase our chef's creativity and passion for local produce. Our popular Sunday Roast is a must-try, with a selection of locally-raised meats and accompanying vegetables that are sure to delight.

Takeaway options are also available for lunch on Thursday-Sunday and dinner seven days a week. We offer a range of options, from classic pub meals to vegetarian and gluten-free options. Our takeaway menu is perfect for those who want to enjoy a meal in the comfort of their room or while exploring the area.
