Our Story

House of Treasures is a family-owned business with a rich history dating back to 2006 when Jim and Maria Ellrott decided to diversify their cattle business to incorporate antiques and collectibles. Jim's fascination with good quality and craftsmanship has led to a collection of antiques, estate furniture, estate jewelry, silverware, and collectibles that is unparalleled. Our aim is to provide the people of Central Queensland with a unique range of stock that will enhance the home and provide that personal gift for someone special.

Our Services

We offer a range of services to help you find the perfect piece. Our personalized service ensures that you receive honest and reliable information about the jewelry we sell. We have several reliable sources for our jewelry and bric-a-brac, and we sell on consignment. We also offer a jewelry valuation service, and we sell silver and jewelry cleaner as well as furniture restorer products. Additionally, we can repair your porcelain, remodel jewelry, or fix your special piece so that you can enjoy wearing it again.

Our Location

House of Treasures is located within a treasure itself - the former National Bank of Queensland building, which commenced construction in 1872 and took till 1880 to open its magnificent doors. The building has a rich history, having been used by the Bank of Queensland until 1975, and later by the law firm Rees R & Sydney Jones. The building stood empty for approximately 6 years until Jim and Maria Ellrott sold their family property and moved in, turning the downstairs area into tea rooms and an antique shop.
