Welcome to Playing for Change Children's Occupational Therapy, a local team based in the picturesque Adelaide Hills, dedicated to providing high-quality, individualised Occupational Therapy services to children aged 0-8 years and their families. Our team is proud to serve our community, offering a wide range of therapeutic interventions in our well-equipped clinic and in the community.

Our Services

At Playing for Change, we pride ourselves on offering a diverse range of services tailored to the unique needs of each child and their family. Our services include:

1. *Assessment and Diagnosis:* We offer comprehensive assessments to identify your child's strengths and challenges, provide a clear diagnosis, and develop an individualised therapy plan.

2. *Occupational Therapy:* Our experienced Occupational Therapists work with your child to develop their skills in areas such as fine motor coordination, self-care, sensory processing, and emotional regulation.

3. *Sensory Integration Therapy:* Our therapists are trained in Sensory Integration, a therapeutic approach that helps children with sensory processing difficulties to improve their ability to respond to sensory information.

4. *Marte Meo Therapy:* We offer Marte Meo therapy, a video-based intervention that supports parents and caregivers to develop their interaction skills and strengthen their relationship with their child.

5. *Group Programs:* We run group programs that focus on social skills, emotional regulation, and fine motor development.

6. *Community Engagement:* We work closely with local schools, preschools, and community groups to support children's participation in everyday activities.

Our Approach

At Playing for Change, we believe in a holistic and family-centred approach to therapy. We use a range of approaches that involve strengthening the parent and child relationship, traditional skills-based work, and optimising sensory processing. We focus on each child's strengths and developing the capacity of caregivers and educators to see the child as a person with unique strengths. Meet the Team

Our team is led by Sue Robinson, a registered Occupational Therapist with over 25 years of experience. Sue is a trained Marte Meo Therapist who values working with clients to achieve their goals and developing strategies to overcome the physical and emotional obstacles that arise. Bec Waters, our Senior Occupational Therapist, is a registered Occupational Therapist with over 15 years of experience. Bec is passionate about working with children and has completed Marte Meo Practitioner Level training.
