Soil Testing

Soil testing is the front-end component of our business and is critical to the building and design process. At Buratt Consulting Engineers, our staff are qualified and have extensive geotechnical experience. Our team operates mechanical augers mounted on a 4WD and provides geotechnical services in Melbourne and country areas.

We drill three boreholes per site and analyze the soil in accordance with relevant Australian and industry standards. Our team considers existing features, such as trees and houses, when providing site-specific footing recommendations. We classify sites in accordance with the current standard AS2870-1996. Our experienced staff assess and provide wind classifications for housing in accordance with AS4055-2006 "Wind loads for housing".

Engineering Surveying

Our in-house surveyors specialize in obtaining accurate site feature information using the latest robotic total station equipment. Our team has the expertise and experience to deliver precise and reliable surveying services for any project.
