Jacques' Driving School

At Jacques Driving School, we are committed to providing professional driving lessons at reasonable prices in the Rural City of Wangaratta and Benalla in North East of Victoria. Our experienced driving instructor, Murray Townsend, alongside his wife Mary, has a wealth of knowledge and experience on the road, which they draw upon to provide top-notch driving lessons. We believe that learning to drive should be a partnership between the learner, the instructor, and the supervising driver, and we encourage parents or mentors to sit in on lessons whenever possible.

Our Services

We offer a range of services to help learners gain the driving experience required to apply for a probationary licence. Our professional driving lessons are designed to teach learners how to drive safely and properly, not just to pass the test. We believe that if a learner can systematically control a vehicle safely and properly, they should be able to pass the test. Our services include the VicRoads L2P - learner driver mentor program, which assists learners under 21 years of age who do not have access to a supervising driver or vehicle. We also offer Keys2Drive, a government-funded program that provides free driving lessons to eligible learners.

At Jacques Driving School, we take our responsibility in preparing learners for a lifetime of safe driving very seriously. We believe that it's a partnership between the learner driver, the supervisor, and ourselves. We encourage parents or supervisors to sit in on driving lessons whenever they want, so they can reinforce what the learner has learned. We work at the pace of each learner, fully aware that people learn at different rates. Our goal is to provide learners with the skills and knowledge they need to become safe and confident drivers.
