Kadina Child Care Centre

Kadina Child Care Centre, located at 19 Doswell Terrace, has been a pillar of the community since 1989. We are a not-for-profit, community-based early learning centre that provides long day care services for children aged between 6 weeks and school age. Our centre is licensed for 53 places and we take pride in our reputation for providing a safe, secure, caring, and stimulating environment for all children.

As a community-based centre, we are committed to serving the families of Kadina and the surrounding rural communities. We value inclusivity and work collaboratively with Gowrie Services to support children with additional needs, ensuring that all children have the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Our Curriculum

At Kadina Child Care Centre, we follow the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) to guide our curriculum. The EYLF describes the principles, practice, and outcomes essential to support and enhance young children's learning from birth to five years of age, as well as their transition to school. Our Early Childhood Educators plan experiences that develop children's skills in all developmental areas, emphasizing play-based learning, communication and language, and social and emotional development.

Our Educators use the learning outcomes to guide their planning for children's learning. We believe that children learn best through play and life experiences, and we provide indoor and outdoor play experiences that allow children to guide their own learning. We believe that the outdoor area is an essential part of the learning environment and that children learn best when their strengths and interests are identified, and appropriate teaching strategies are chosen.

Nutrition

At Kadina Child Care Centre, we believe that good nutrition is essential for children's growth and development. All children's meals and snacks are prepared on-site using local and organic produce when available. Our menus are developed following Nutrition Australia Guidelines to ensure that your child receives the best nutritional start in life.
