Bushlands Pet Resort was acquired in July 2017 by Kath and Bill, who bring decades of animal care expertise to this rural property in Capel, Western Australia. Kath, a veterinary surgeon and certified veterinary behaviourist, ensures our facilities prioritise animal welfare while maintaining strict operational standards. Our 40-hectare property, adjacent to the Capel Nature Reserve, provides a natural bushland environment for pets staying with us. We operate purpose-built kennels and cat runs designed to accommodate both large and small animals comfortably. Our dog boarding service includes daily 1.6km walks and socialisation in grassed areas, while cat boarding features climate-controlled runs with igloo-style bedding.

The property retains significant native vegetation and wetlands, reflecting our commitment to environmental stewardship. We maintain full compliance with Shire of Capel regulations and hold comprehensive industry insurance through QBE Insurance. Our team combines professional animal care training with hands-on experience in managing boarding facilities. The retreat's location near Bunbury allows convenient access to veterinary services at Harradine and Associates when required. We continuously invest in facility improvements, including recent installations of kennel misting systems and underfloor heating trials to enhance comfort.
