The Lakeside Cottage is a beautiful, tranquil place to stay, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The accommodation is well equipped with all the basic food amenities, including fresh bread and basic supplies in the fridge. The garden is lush and beautiful, with a serene atmosphere perfect for a romantic getaway.
Host & Personal Touch
The host, Kaye, is lovely and welcoming. She adds a personal touch by providing homemade bread for breakfast and having the heater on when guests arrive. She is also very helpful with planning surprises, such as setting up the room with petals and champagne for a special occasion.
Luxury & Comfort
The cottage itself is luxurious, with comfortable rooms and a spa available for use. The finer details are well thought out, making the stay very enjoyable. The sunroom offers stunning views of the outside, adding to the overall comfort and relaxation of the stay.
Location & Activities
The Lakeside Cottage is located only 20 minutes away from the Yarra Valley, making it an ideal base for exploring the area. Activities such as visiting Sky High Mount Dandenong for a fabulous view of Melbourne are highly recommended.
Negative Feedback
However, there were some issues with insects in the house and expired hot chocolate sachets. Additionally, one of the towels was dirty, which was disappointing.
