Designing for a sustainable future, one project at a time.
At James Seymour Architecture, we live and work in regional Victoria, and we see each project as an opportunity to work with our clients, and to enhance the community in which we live. Our architectural experience and knowledge enhance and benefit the projects we undertake. We understand that our client's decision to commission architectural services is an investment to ensure the success of the project.
We are collaborative and allow all stakeholders to be engaged in each stage of the project process to add value and to achieve goals. Successful project outcomes result from our ability to engage with our clients, and to understand their needs and project aspirations. This understanding provides the knowledge that will drive the design solution, order and make sense of the spatial configuration, and provide consistent and appropriate detailing and material selection.
Our Services
We provide services in all key areas of the building procurement process, from design and documentation services, through to contract administration and project management services. Our architectural experience and knowledge enhance and benefit the projects we undertake. We understand that our client's decision to commission architectural services is an investment to ensure the success of the project.
Sustainability
Each project presents a different set of opportunities and constraints that determine the approach to Environmentally Sustainable Design (ESD) for the project. James Seymour Architecture (JSA) seeks to implement ESD principles to all projects by providing a considered and professional approach to the project design. Constraints, such as budget restrictions, require a clever and innovative approach, appropriate to the particular project type.
Often, significant improvements can be achieved by applying passive design principles and by the careful selection of materials, fixtures, and construction techniques. In order to support JSA's commitment to sustainable development, we collaborated on Goulburn Valley Health's (GVH) 10 Star Charity House project. The project aims to deliver a sustainable, high-star rated home incorporating current best practice in sustainable design and systems.
