At Gawne Aviation, we are a professional pilot training institution located in Shepparton, Victoria, Australia. Our team of experienced instructors, with a combined experience of over 45 years, are dedicated to providing high-quality training to aspiring pilots from all over the world.

Our Training Courses

We offer a comprehensive range of training courses, including VET-in-Schools, Recreational Pilots Licence (RPL), Private Pilots Licence (PPL), Commercial Pilots Licence (CPL), Multi Engine Rating (MER), Flight Instructor Rating (FIR), and Design Feature Endorsement (DFE). Our courses are designed to cater to the needs of students of all levels, from beginners to experienced pilots.

Our Fleet

Our fleet consists of a range of aircraft, including Cessna A152 Aerobat, Piper Warrior PA28, Piper Cub PA18, Piper Twin Comanche PA39, Victa Super Air Tourer 150, and Redbird Full Motion Flight Simulator. Our fleet is well-maintained and regularly serviced to ensure the safety of our students.

Our Facility

Our facility is located at the Shepparton Aerodrome, which offers excellent weather conditions, with minimal air traffic and simple CTAF procedures. Our instructors are highly experienced and mature, with many having airline experience. We have two examiners on staff, and we specialize in Instructor Ratings and FIR upgrades.

About the Airport

The Shepparton Aerodrome is located 8 kilometers south of the Shepparton CBD, and offers excellent facilities for pilots and students. The aerodrome has two active runways, a sealed taxiway and apron, and a range of navigational aids, including a Non-Directional Beacon (NDB), Automatic Weather Information Broadcast, Unicom Service Operations, and Aerodrome Frequency Response Unit (AFRU).
