Our Process

At Coulton Constructions, we understand the importance of attention to detail and the high degree of accountability when taking on your project. Each renovation, extension, or new project requires a rigorous management and process reporting system, which includes the following stages:

*Site Meeting*: Contact Chris Coulton, our Managing Director, to arrange a site meeting to discuss your ideas for the project. During this meeting, we can help arrange architects and designers to suit your budget and project. Alternatively, you can present your existing plans.

*Plans and Pricing*: Once we receive the plans, we can produce an accurate price for all the works relating to your project. We offer pricing options for staged construction if required, as well as fixed and flexible pricing based on your needs.

*Contract Documents*: Once you have accepted our quotation, we will present a Housing Industry Association (HIA) standard building contract to you. This contract sets out all the rules, regulations, and expectations for both you, our valued client, and for Coulton Constructions, the principal contractor, to ensure a smooth and transparent building process.

*Certification*: At this stage, your documents will be submitted to the certifier, the council, and the engineers for approval. Please note that this stage of the process can take anywhere from 3 to 8 weeks, depending on the applications required.

*Tradesmen & Contractors*: Coulton Constructions has access to all trades and uses the same sub-contractors on each and every job. Utilising a consistent team of skilled tradespeople allows us to provide the same high-quality finish to each project and maintain the high standards set by our company.

*Under Construction*: Once the preliminary stages are complete, and approvals granted, site works can commence. Our construction manager, specialised tradesmen, and Chris Coulton will attend regular site meetings throughout the building process, updating you and addressing any questions or concerns you may have.
