At Brudenell Sugiarto & Huang Orthodontists, we take pride in our long history of serving the Western Australian community since 1971. Our story began when Dr Lloyd Trotter and Dr Peter Heagney opened our first two clinics in Perth CBD and Claremont. Later, we expanded to Floreat and Joondalup, making us one of the largest orthodontic practices in the Perth metropolitan area. Recently, we have started visiting South Hedland on a regular basis.

Our Philosophy

At our practice, we are dedicated to providing the highest standard of orthodontic care in a friendly and relaxed environment. Our team of experienced orthodontists, including Dr Greg Brudenell, Dr Phebe Sugiarto, Dr Gary Huang, and Dr Richard Lee, are committed to providing personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs.

Dr. Greg Brudenell

Dr. Brudenell studied at the University of Western Australia for his Bachelor of Dental Science and Master of Dental Science Degree. He graduated from his Bachelor's degree in 1976 with First Class Honours and became a Master of Dental Science in 1984. Dr. Brudenell chose to become an orthodontist because he believes it is the most rewarding of all dental specialties. He says "aligning the teeth and correcting occlusions is probably one the most rewarding occupations I can imagine." In his spare time, Dr. Brudenell enjoys golf and traveling the world.

Dr. Phebe Sugiarto

Dr. Sugiarto graduated from the University of Western Australia in 2003 with a Bachelor of Dental Science with Honours, where she won several prestigious awards, including the Australian Society of Orthodontists Prize in Orthodontics. Following her Master's degree in orthodontics at the University of Western Australia in 2008, she furthered her specialist credentials by obtaining memberships from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons. Dr. Sugiarto is a member of the Australian Dental Association (ADA), Australian Society of Orthodontists (ASO), World Federation of Orthodontists (WFO) and Dental Specialists Society of Western Australia (DSSWA). In her spare time, Dr. Sugiarto enjoys playing with her young children and making coffee.

Dr. Gary Huang

Dr. Huang obtained his Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree with Honours from the University of Sydney in 2002. He gained experience practicing general dentistry for 3 years before attending the University of Western Australia. Dr. Huang earned his Master of Dental Science degree in Orthodontics and became an orthodontist in 2008. In addition, he also passed the examinations to become a member of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons and Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh. Dr. Huang has a special interest in airway orthodontics and sleep apnoea, and he is currently gaining further qualifications in this field. In his free time, Dr. Huang enjoys cooking, reading, and playing with his children.

Dr. Richard Lee

Dr. Lee received his Bachelor of Dental Science with Honours from the University of Western Australia. Following completion of his dental training, Dr. Lee served as a dental officer with the Royal Australian Navy. Dr. Lee is dedicated to providing the latest cutting-edge treatments for his patients and remains current on the orthodontic advances by attending numerous continuing education courses and subscribing to the relevant professional journals. Dr. Lee is a member of the Australian Dental Association (ADA), Australian Society of Orthodontists (ASO), World Federation of Orthodontists (WFO) and Dental Specialists Society of Western Australia (DSSWA).
