Family Law Chambers is a specialist law firm based in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, comprising of 13 members who conduct expert practices focusing on the Family Law Jurisdiction and associated proceedings. Our members are widely recognised as leaders in Family Law at the New South Wales Bar, providing premium services in a specialist jurisdiction. Established in February 2004, our chambers have been committed to offering a superior service in Family Law, with a broad range of experience and expertise covering all aspects of family law disputes.
Our History
Family Law Chambers was founded by a group of barristers who practiced predominantly in Family Law and occupied new premises immediately next to the Family Court of Australia in Sydney. This was the first time in Australia that a group of barristers had departed from the traditional styling of the name of chambers to focus upon and present the specialist jurisdiction in which they each practiced. Our chambers were officially opened by the Honourable Justice Michael Kirby AC CMG on 6 May 2004.

Our Clerk
The clerk to our chambers is Branka Dosen, the principal point of contact for all solicitors wishing to brief counsel. Branka is highly experienced and knowledgeable in the area of Family Law and is always available to assist with any queries or requests.
Exceptional Barristers
The reviews highlight several exceptional barristers who have made a significant impact on their clients' lives. These barristers have demonstrated compassion, empathy, and expertise in handling complex cases. Giles Stapleton, for example, showed a remarkable level of humanity and drive, supporting his client and their son throughout a difficult parenting matter.

Expensive and Unfair System
