JP Xpress

At JP Xpress, we take pride in being a leading provider of refrigerated transport, storage, and distribution services in Tropical North Queensland, Australia. Our story began in 1995 when John Petersen identified a need for a one-hour express courier service in the Cairns area. This venture quickly gained momentum, and by mid-1996, Jaimelle Whittaker, John's partner, left her full-time employment to work with John. In 1998, we expanded our services to Port Douglas, and soon after, we introduced refrigerated trucks to cater to the local restaurants and resorts.

As our business grew, we altered our name to JP Xpress and sold the Cairns courier part of the business, allowing us to focus exclusively on refrigerated transport for the local area. During this period, we also acquired SafeFood accreditation and began following HACCP principles. We are audited annually to maintain these accreditations.

In 2007, we purchased our own refrigerated depot in Cairns, which enabled us to expand our services to include freezer, chiller, and dry storage areas. Our depot has an "A" rating with AQIS, allowing us to store goods for export to international markets.

Our distribution services include stacking, consolidation, and picking goods, as well as refrigerated transport to all areas in and around the Cairns area and Tropical North Queensland.

In addition to our transport services, we offer cold storage solutions for all types of frozen and refrigerated food products. Our storage facilities are equipped with temperature-controlled cross-docking areas, ensuring product integrity from pick-up to final delivery. We also provide stock rotation, stock takes, and palletization services.
