Our Story
Our journey began as The Sunshine Coast Centre for Orthopaedics (SCCO), and we've since evolved into Orthopaedics Queensland. Our team of renowned surgeons has extensive local and international experience, treating a wide range of orthopaedic conditions, from acute sports injuries to joint replacements and chronic issues. We've continued to grow and expand our services, now offering comprehensive care at our Sunshine Coast location.

Patient Experience and Service
The reviewers have shared their experiences with the SCCO team, highlighting the excellent service and care they received. Patch R. praised the professionalism and friendliness of the reception staff, mentioning Maree Ward's warm and comforting manner. Dr. Dion Noovao was described as an "absolutely amazing person and surgeon" who took a considered approach, explained everything clearly, and achieved fantastic results. Nurse Practitioner Claire O'Carroll was also commended for her knowledge, caring, and professional attitude.
In contrast, Adam Jones had a negative experience when he cancelled his post-op appointment due to personal circumstances. He felt unwelcome and unprofessional treatment from Maree, who seemed un understanding and dismissive. Adam's emails to find an alternative solution were ignored.
Specialist Services
Susan Strahan Geary and Annabel Wood both expressed satisfaction with their experiences with specialists outside of the SCCO team. Susan had successful hand procedures and is now pain-free and drug-free. Annabel had knee arthroscopy surgery with Dr. James Tunggal and is pain-free after suffering from knee pain for a long time.
