Our History

Allen Gillespie Electrical Pty Ltd was established over 40 years ago in Maryborough by local electrical contractor Allen Gillespie. Today, the company is owned by Aaron and Jodie Lovelock, and is proud to employ local trade qualified electricians from around the Fraser coast. We are committed to providing the Fraser Coast community with outstanding electrical services and advice, and we are proud to be a part of the local community.

Our Team

We have a team of 20 staff members, including electricians and apprentices, and we foster an ongoing apprentice training scheme. With over 50 years of experience in the electrical industry, our staff are professional, well-trained, and dedicated to providing exceptional service.

Community Involvement

At Allen Gillespie Electrical, we are proud to be a part of the community and support several different programs. Each year, we sponsor local sporting and community groups, including the Maryborough and District Hockey Association, the Aldridge State High School Volleyball Team, and Rotary.

Electrical Services and Workmanship

A few customers were extremely satisfied with the work carried out by the company, highlighting the good workmanship and quality of the services provided. James R. gave a 5-star rating for the new meter board, POA, extra light switches, and power points installed, which made the house ready for solar panels and air conditioning. Jared and Taylor were commended for their excellent work.

Helen Muldeary, on the other hand, had a less than satisfactory experience, finding the service too busy to complete the job and attributing it to the job being too big.

Customer Service and Staff

The company's customer service was generally praised, with customers appreciating the friendly and helpful staff. Kerry Maree Petersen noted that the staff were well-mannered and did their job well, and the receptionist was also very helpful. McNevins Motel appreciated the prompt and friendly service, especially from Barry, who looked after their commercial washing machine and dryer needs.

However, Diane Houston had a negative experience with the company, describing bullying and threats when she brought up issues with the job not being done as requested and using old parts.

Scheduling and Punctuality

Scheduling and punctuality were generally on point, with customers noting that they did not have to wait long for their jobs to be booked in and that the staff arrived on time. Anne Thursby was pleased with the service and noted that the new ceiling fans were installed within two hours. Cam Batkin appreciated the quick response to their needs two weeks before Christmas.

However, there were a couple of instances where scheduling issues arose, with James R. noting that there were some issues that were resolved by Aaron.
