Our luxury self-contained cottages are situated within the stunning gardens of the historic Bindley House, a majestic 19th-century bluestone residence that is home to some of the town's most fascinating history.
At Bindley House B&B Cottages, we offer our guests the unique opportunity to indulge in the privacy and comfort of our luxury appointed cottages, each boasting their own double spa bath, romantic wood fire, and fully equipped kitchen. Our cottages are ideal for singles and couples, but can accommodate up to four people with the use of a pull-out sofa bed.
The History of Bindley House
Bindley House was constructed in 1862 for Dr Frank Lane Bindley, a prominent member of Kilmore's early community. Dr Bindley was a surgeon in Kent for four years before his arrival in Australia and was heavily involved with the Wesleyan Methodist Church, the hospital, and the library committee in Kilmore. He died in 1870 at the age of 40.
The house is a classically derived, brick building with a hip slate roof and return verandah, terminating in symmetrical wings at the rear. A substantial bluestone lower ground floor is located at the rear, and a bluestone retaining wall supports the front verandah. Distinctive detailing includes panelled timber verandah columns with circle and arch motifs, heavily corniced, stuccoed chimneys with arcaded shafts, and paned glazed French doors leading to the verandah.
Bindley House is on the Victorian Heritage Register (VHR) and is classified by the National Trust.
Our Facilities
Our cottages are equipped with everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Each cottage has a queen bed with luxury linens and electric blankets, a private en suite with a double spa bath, a fully equipped kitchen, a generous breakfast basket, a dining area overlooking the gardens, split system heating and cooling, a TV with a DVD machine, a stereo with surround sound, ironing board & iron, BBQ facilities within the garden, and an outdoor garden setting for guest use. We also offer secure parking for your convenience.

- 1 Night: $180
- 2 Nights: $170/night
- 3 Nights: $160/night
- 4 Nights: $140/night
- Weekly Rate: Heavily discounted. Please enquire for rate.
Rates are for 2 persons, with additional persons charged $20 per night. All tariffs include FULL breakfast provisions. No breakfast required? Please enquire as to reduced rate.
Local Attractions
Kilmore is a charming town with plenty to see and do. Some of our favourite local attractions include the Kilmore Racing Club, the Northern Golf Club, the Kilmore Courthouse, and the historic Kilmore Gaol. There are also plenty of great restaurants and cafes in town, so you'll never be short of places to eat.
